When asked by TV4 how he copes with working on set in extreme conditions, most often outdoors, in rain and frost, he replied: "I was born in 1973, and back then, the winters were really harsh. I'm used to it. Besides, I've been swimming in the winter every morning for a long time now, and when I can't, I take a cold shower. And when it comes to working 12 or 13 hours on set, I don't feel it at all, because for me, it's time with the people I love."

While he doesn't like love scenes in TV series, he's a true romantic in his personal life. He's been in love with his wife, Agnieszka, for over 25 years. Viewers were able to meet her in 2019, when Mariusz Węgłowski participated in "Dancing with the Stars." He demonstrated not only excellent fitness but also a sense of rhythm and immense dancing skills. He danced with Kasia Vu Manh, managing to make it all the way to the eighth episode and finishing fifth. His beloved wife, Agnieszka, always accompanied him on the show. When you looked at them, they looked like a couple who had just met, so deeply were they in love with each other.
